Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
HOW WOULD YOU INTERPERATE THESE THYROID FUNCTIONS TEST RESULTS? I AM A 46 YEAR OLD FEMALE WITH HASHIMOTOES.I WAS TAKING 100PG OF EUTROZIG WHICH HAS BEEN RAISED TO 150PG. FREE T4 18 TSH 7.50 FREE T3 5.2 WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO DEAL WITH HASHIMOTOES ,AND ARE THE NORMAL GPS INFORMED ENOUGH TO DO OTHER TESTS FOR HASIMOTOES?
As per my clinical experience, the proven case of Hashimoto does not require additional evaluation with further antibodies evaluation as the management remains same even after that. As the level of TSH is high, it shows that the thyroid function is not under control and there is need of dose alteration (to raise intake of thyroid tablet) to control it better way.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
